EMMA GIBSON
Compliance & Business Improvement Manager
Emma joined Stewart Group in 2025, with a focus on building strong compliance foundations and making business improvements that help the team do their best work with less friction. With ten years in financial services, including running a multi-family office and specialising in family and board governance, Emma brings a steady, people-first approach to work that can otherwise feel technical or overwhelming.
Emma is motivated by a simple conviction: good governance and compliance are core to long-term success. When the structures are right, there is space to create, to innovate, and to look after people and families well. In practice, that often means helping others find clarity when something feels unclear, whether it’s a legal point, an AML request, or a need for a better way to do something. Emma’s style is collaborative and curious, working alongside people to understand what sits underneath the question, then turning it into something clear, workable, and consistent.
Emma holds the Institute of Directors qualification (IoD Dip, 2021), is a Trust and Estate Practitioner through STEP (TEP, 2019), and holds the International Compliance Association Diploma in International Governance, Risk and Compliance (MICA, 2018). She also completed a BA (Hons) in 2003. Her earlier career in the Isle of Man, an international finance centre, shaped the way she thinks about stewardship, accountability, and getting the fundamentals right.
Outside of work, Emma loves time with her family, whether that’s church, road trips, hiking, hunting, the gym, or a proper movie-and-good-food night. It’s the same rhythm she values professionally too: steady habits, shared effort, and looking after what matters.
