Milton joined Stewart Group’s Advisory Board in November 2016. Milton brings a breadth of financial and industry knowledge having spent 29 years with Fidelity Life, the last 14 years as CEO of the company.
Milton has had a long involvement in the finance industry having joined Coopers and Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, as a junior auditor after graduating university. After five years there, and a number of years as the auditor for Lloyds in London, he joined Fidelity Life as company secretary in 1986. His time at Fidelity has been spent as head of sales and then progressing on to CEO.
He is a Chartered Accountant and Authorised Financial Adviser. He was one of the longest-serving CEOs in the New Zealand life insurance industry and served as a director on the FSC Board for 13 years. During his tenure as CEO Fidelity Life’s assets grew from $145m to over $1billion under management. He was also instrumental in the purchase of Lumley Life, Farmers Mutual Life and Tower Life.
