Stewart Steps Down From Project KApril 2011, Hawkes Bay Today Businessman Nick Stewart has stepped down from Foundation for Youth Development – Project K after three years as Chairman. Mr Stewart, Executive Director of Stewart Group, a Hastings based financial firm will be replaced by Grant Russell. The Stewart family has had a strong involvement in Project K and the Foundation for Youth Development Hawkes Bay since its inception in 2003. Mary Stewart pioneered the establishment of Project K Hawkes Bay and Nick became a trustee in 2006 and has been the Chairman since early 2008. Mr Stewart said there had been huge satisfaction in seeing more than 200 14-15 year olds achieve such good results. “I’ve seem some amazing transformations in teenagers who’ve participated in the programme”. The Foundation for Youth Development Hawkes Bay, formerly known as Project K programmes in two schools, Central Hawkes Bay College and Havelock North High School. |
