Russell joined the financial services industry in 1982 and worked in a variety of retail banking roles at several of the major banks – BNZ, ASB and Westpac.
After completing his tertiary studies with Massey University to qualify as an adviser, Russell then focused on providing wealth management advice to ASB’s high value clients.
Looking for a lifestyle and career change, Russell and his partner Julie relocated to Hawkes Bay in 2005.
Russell joined Stewart Group in 2008 and has been pivotal in managing and developing the CRM database, working on a number of strategic projects and providing technical business support services to the risk and wealth teams.
Outside of work hours Russell enjoys sports (rugby, soccer and cricket) and designing and landscaping their property. He is actively involved in the local dog trial club, having developed a database for the registration and automation of prizes.
