Risk Manager/Adviser

Our privately owned client has a significant presence in Hawke’s Bay’s Risk and Investment market, offering a wide range of solutions to their highly valued client base.  Their business model and support team is structured to ensure optimal and ongoing returns to both the individual writer and the business, whilst providing appropriate, tailored risk management solutions for their clients.  Their position in the Hawke’s Bay market sits them at the top of their game when it comes to client service, professionalism and results.
 
We are searching for an experienced Risk Manager/Adviser to join their team and enjoy in the success of their renewal model. Ideally you will have a significant client base and be in a position to bring a group of them with you to this professional business.  You will be rewarded for this.  Alternatively, you will come from within the professional services industry and be able to transition across effectively to risk management.  Either way, live client connections and experience in building and maintaining effective client relationships is essential.  
 
You will be joining a business that really cares about their clients, so you must be naturally empathetic and genuinely care about people.  Experience with risk protection analysis and modelling techniques along with risk insurance, to complement other advisers in the team focussing on superannuation and retirement planning concepts, will see you hit the ground running in this role.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.  You will be highly organised, process driven and have acute attention to detail.  With a strategic and analytical approach, you will have the ability to manage and grow the risk management book to attract quality new profitable business.  An AFA or RFA designation would be of benefit, to allow you to provide client advice from day one.  A tertiary qualification will be highly regarded.
